Teriyaki Sauce

  • Yield 1-3/4 cups

This delicious teriyaki sauce is quick to make, and so much better than store bought. Use it in my Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon recipe!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a small pot, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, white sugar, mirin, water and ginger. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 3 minutes.
  2. In a separat bowl, mix together the 1 Tb cornstarch with 1 Tb water.
  3. While whisking the soy sauce mixture over medium heat, add the cornstarch-water mixture and simmer, whisking constantly, until the sauce has thickened slightly and the starch has cooked properly (no starchy taste remains), about 3 minutes longer.
  4. Remove from heat and add minced garlic. Let cool. Place in a glass jar in the fridge, or use immediately in the Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon recipe.

How long will this sauce last in the fridge? I can't rate this recipe because I have not made it. However, I must rate it in order to post my question, so I give it one star, for now.

This is by far the best tasting Teriyaki Sauce I have ever had. Also if you don't want to use all of it at once; it freezes well. Thankyou Heidi!! :)
