Bacon Cabbage Breakfast Bowl

Bacon Cabbage Breakfast Bowl



  1. Get your rice on the go by following the instructions on the package.  Sushi rice takes about 25 minutes, so you can make the rest of the components of the dish while the rice cooks.
  2. Now preheat a large fry pan on medium heat.  Once hot, add the bacon and brown a little.
  3. Next up add the onion and garlic.  Saute, stirring regularly until they begin to brown.
  4. Now you can add the cabbage.  Saute for another few minutes, stirring regularly.
  5. Add the turmeric, salt, pepper and vinegar, stir well and set aside for the moment.
  6. The final component is the fried eggs.  I like over easy to get those runny yolks all over the rice.  Delicious!
  7. To plate, serve up a liberal amount of the cabbage mix, some rice and the fried eggs placed on top.

    Thank You Michael...Great Recipe We made this one today but substituted ham as we were out of bacon...was great.
