Maple Glazed Wild Salmon

Easy to make, but fancy enough for a dinner party, this delicious maple-glazed salmon can be made in the oven or the air fryer.
Ingredients

Directions
- Sauce: Combine the butter, lemon juice, maple syrup, apple juice, salt, smoked paprika and garlic in a small pot. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes, until reduced by half.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Salmon: Place the portions of salmon onto a tray or flat container. Pour half of the sauce on the salmon and let marinate up to 2 hours.
- Preheat air fryer to 400.
- Cover bottom of airfryer with foil. Add the pieces of salmon, skin side down. (And slice apples, if desired). Pour the used marinade over the pieces.
- Air fry for 8 minutes. Brush on some of the reserved marinade (that wasn’t used on the salmon). Bake another 2 minutes.
- Brush on more marinade. Air fry 2 minutes more, until salmon is cooked through and caramelized.
- Brush on remaining reserved marinade and serve, with skin-on red potato mash and roasted or steamed vegetables.
Variations
Oven Method
- If you don’t have an air fryer, this recipe can be made in a conventional oven.
- Preheat the oven to 400 F on the convection bake setting, or 425F on the regular bake setting.
- Cover a baking sheet with foil. Add the salmon with the used glaze and apple slices. Place in the oven and bake.
- Follow the same instructions and timing as for the air-fryer method, above.
