Sirius Micro Farms is committed to sustainable farming practices, using holistic techniques and working with nature to create a full-circle farming system. The owners, George and Kira, bring complementary strengths to the farm. George has an extensive background in horticulture and farming, while Kira’s experience is in business and hobby farming. Together, they form a dynamic team, each building on their individual expertise.

Sirius Micro Farms was created in September 2020. To get started, they purchased a 16-foot cargo trailer and transformed it into a mobile microgreens grow room. This innovative setup allowed them to grow microgreens while keeping the operation portable until they could find a permanent location.

Their dream became a reality in December 2025 when they purchased their own farm. On December 27, they packed up and moved to Errington, where they are now building the future of Sirius Micro Farms.

Today, the farm has the capacity to grow more than 200 trays of microgreens each week. They are currently working with the Island Organic Producers Association to become certified organic.

George and Kira are excited to expand their operation and continue providing high-quality, nutritious food to their local communities.
