Meat Wrapper – Full-Time or Part-Time

We have an opening for a Meat Wrapper (Full-time or Part-time) at our Lake Cowichan location! We are looking for an energetic, customer focused individual that enjoys interacting with people and likes a fast paced work environment. If you think you’d be a good fit, apply today!

Schedule Requirements:

• Must have open availability
• Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays

What we need from you:

• A high level of motivation and a proactive attitude
• The capacity to work in a cold and wet environment performing repetitive motions with a variety of equipment
• The ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
• A heightened attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• An ability to prioritize tasks, follow directions, and manage time
• A willingness to work both autonomously and with a team
• A desire to provide outstanding customer service
• A desire to comply with established department procedures and safe work practices
• A willingness to learn and openness to coaching and feedback

Some of what you will do:

• Wrapping and preparing meat
• Stocking shelves, rotate and face products, build displays
• Ensure that high standards are set and maintained for all safety issues
• Perform other duties as required

Experience and Education:

• Customer Service experience is an asset
• Current Food Safe certification is an asset, however Country Grocer will help you achieve it.
