Cafe/Buffet Clerk – Part/Full Time

Country Grocer Bowen Road is looking for a Full and Part Time Café/ Buffet Clerk to join their awesome team! The Café Buffet Clerk will be responsible for prepping and cooking products to be sold from our in-store buffets. The Cafe/ Buffet will clerk also be responsible for keeping the area clean and closing duties including cleaning. The position requires an individual who has a passion for food, able to multitask and work well in a team as well as on their own.

Some of what you will do:

• You will prepare/cook buffet product for purchase
• You’ll follow Food Safe procedures at all times
• You will insure correct quantities of food are prepared to meet daily needs
• You will assist customers by answering their questions and addressing their concerns
• You’ll maintain a clean and sanitary department at all times

Requirements

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• 1 year cooking experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• FoodSafe certification preferred; However Country Grocer will be happy to help you obtain
• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
• Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
• Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
