Assistant Cafe Manager – Full-Time

Our Bowen Road location is seeking a new Full-time Assistant Café Manager to play a key roll in the daily operations of the Café. While working alongside the Café Manager, you will be responsible for opening the café in the mornings, prepping various meals and platters, training new recruits, and assisting customers with a smile. Some of what you will do:

• You’ll train, manage, and motivate a team to ensure efficiency and productivity
• You’ll support in daily scheduling needs, ordering and inventory, and communicating to your team on performance, policies and pertinent issues
• Follow Food Safe procedures at all times
• Ensure correct quantities of food are prepared to meet daily needs
• Assist customers by answering their questions and addressing their concerns
• Ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and sanitary department at all times
• Ensure proper maintenance, care and use of all equipment and property

Pay for this job:

Pay: CA$23.50 – CA$30.00 per hour

Starting Range: $23.50-$25.25

Most new team members start within this range, depending on their experience and skills.

Growth Range: Up to $30.00

There’s room to grow! Annual performance reviews provide opportunities to move up within this range over time.

Schedule Requirements:

• Full-time (40 hours/week)
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including 5am morning shifts and weekend shifts

What we need from you:

• You are comfortable prepping sandwich platters, operating ovens, grills and espresso machines.
• You know how to guide and inspire your team to be their best at work
• 1 year cooking experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• FoodSafe certification preferred
• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
• You work with intensity and you like to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
• You’re efficient, organized, and enjoy working through challenges
