Nanaimo, BC (January 4th, 2011) –Vancouver and Salt Spring Island owned and operated Country Grocer is proud to announce that the newest member of Country Grocer stores (store 7) will be opening in the Green Rock development on Bowen Road in Nanaimo BC in Spring or Summer 2012.
“We are very excited about our new store.” says Country Grocer Director Peter Cavin. “We love being in the Nanaimo neighbourhood with our Chase River store so expansion into mid Nanaimo is perfect for us”, says Cavin. “A new store will also benefit the workforce in Nanaimo. We’ll be looking for team members to join us in late 2011 or early. 2012.
The new store will boast approximately 40,000 square feet of retail space, a full service meat, seafood, deli and bakery counters and will be built to green standards. It will have bio-swales, rain gardens and rain water management throughout the whole subdivision. The new centre is expected to spur further development and upgrades along the
busy Bowen Road corridor.
