Some of what you’ll be doing:

As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll be co-leading the store in line with business goals and objectives set by the Store Manager and Ownership team.

  • You’ll exceed expectations of our internal and external customers with the kind of friendly helpful service that goes beyond expectation.
  • You’ll be responsible for supervising and facilitating the daily operations of the store, ensuring that store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards and Team Members are fully supported and prepared to succeed.
  • You’ll set your sights on sales and profitability goals and oversee inventory management and pricing and make sound business decisions for buying.

About you:

  • You’re knowledgeable about all things grocery and have 4 years’ experience in the grocery industry in progressive leadership roles.
  • You’re good with people, and know how to lead and inspire them to be their best selves at work.
  • You’re a genuinely happy and outgoing people person, and you get a kick from making someone’s day
  • You’re an excellent communicator, following through on concerns or questions, building our “You’ll Feel Like Family” culture.
  • You’re efficient, organized, and you like to make things happen
  • You roll up your sleeves and work with passion, and you roll with the punches when the pressure’s on. Sometimes, it’s on!
  • You’re self-motivated and care about making an impact.
  • You’re able to work any shift, any day, including Weekends

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to safely reach, bend and lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand and move for full shift
  • Some exposure to temperature extremes (coolers, store temperature, outside temperature) will be required
  • Some travel to Country Grocer locations may be required
