If you’re seeking a fulfilling career in the grocery business, then you’ve found it! Country Grocer in Cedar is looking for a strong leader to join our team as the Assistant Produce Manager! We are looking to fill this role in preparation for the upcoming rebrand of the store to a Country Grocer. Collaboration, personality and hard work are all wholeheartedly encouraged.

Reporting to the Produce Manager, you will co-lead operations of the Produce department to ensure an exceptional level of customer service and quality product is consistently maintained.

Schedule Requirements:

• Full-time (40 hours/week)
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend shifts.

What will you do:

• Oversee the produce department when the Produce Manager is not present on the floor; training, and scheduling work assignments.
• Supervise and training team members;
• Maintain product displays and signage
• Keep shelves stocked, organized and clean
• Receive orders and confirm shipments
• Perform other duties as required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
• Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures

Education and Experience:

• 3 years’ previous produce experience is required
• 2 years’ previous leadership experience is required
