Jen’s Chocolate Kiss

This drink is a celebration of me and my beloved’s special weekend away when we were fresh in love. We created this drink with the help of Jason MacIssac at Sheringham Distillery in Sooke. It is a fantastic Sunday morning ritual and will be a Christmas tradition for many years to come for Jen and I.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Bring the whipping cream and milk to a simmer in a medium pot.
  2. Remove from the heat and then add the chocolate.  Let it sit for a minute and then transfer to a blender.
  3. Add the Bailey’s, vodka and espresso and blend on a medium speed until light and frothy.

Serve immediately and enjoy.

Variations

You can make a virgin kiss (ha, see what I did there) which is basically an amazing Mocha, by simply omitting the alcohol.

where can I buy Callebaut chocolate? For Jen’s Chocolate Kiss. Country grocer?

Yes. They do have it often by the 1 lb. brick in the bakery. Bakers brand dark chocolate is a suitable substitution as well.

Instructions don’t say what to do with the espresso

Hey, thanks for catching that. I edited the recipe. The espresso gets added with the Bailey's and vodka
